Festivals (Harvest Moon: Magical Melody)

In Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, Flowerbud Village holds many festivals in the duration of the year. Who participates in the festival depends on the characters that have the highest friendship with the protagonist. Most festivals require the protagonist to make donations at the Town Square in the blue bin prior to the festival for it to occur, otherwise it is canceled.

Spring

1st Spring, New Years Day

• Location: Flowerbud Square
• Description: The villagers gather in the square and eat egg products.
• Donation: 1 egg

17th Spring, Spring Horse Race

23rd Spring, Flower Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Flowerbud Square
• Description: Originally the Harvest Goddess Festival, everyone comes to look at and smell the flowers as a celebration of Spring.
• Donation: 1 of any kind of flower

28th Spring, Cow Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Flowerbud Square
• Description: To compete, a fully grown cow that is not pregnant is required to enter. The higher level of friendship between the cow and protagonist will ease the winning chances.

Summer

3rd Summer, Beach Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Moonlight Beach
• Description: Nami can be first met here, and will continue to visit the village thereafter. After speaking to everyone, a swimming minigame is initiated. The first time it is won, the protagonist receives a Power Berry.

7th Summer, Star Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Moondrop River
• Description: The candidate the protagonist has the highest relationship with will invite them to float a bamboo boat down the river the day before the festival. Once accepted, the protagonist meets said candidate in the square.

15th Summer, Firefly Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Moonlight Beach
• Description: The villagers float firefly flowers out to the ocean in honor of their ancestors.
• Donation: 1 Moonstone

24th Summer, Fireworks Display

• Time:
• Location: Moonlight Beach
• Description: After conversing with everyone, the protagonist will watch the fireworks with their love interest.
• Donation: No Donation

29th Summer, Sheep Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Town Square
• Description:
• Donation: No Donation

Fall

9th Fall, Moon Viewing

• Time:
• Location: Mountain Summit
• Description: The candidate the protagonist has the highest relationship with will invite them to gaze at the moon together later that evening. Once accepted, the protagonist meets said candidate in the square at the appropriate time where they leave to watch the moon at the summit.

17th Fall, Fall Grass Horse Race

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: Town Square
• Description: Watch the horse races, or if the protagonist has a horse race in them and win prizes.

24th Fall, Harvest Festival

• Location: Town Square
• Description: If Gourmet is pleased with the crop the protagonist donated the day before, he will give him a new recipe.

30th Fall, Pumpkin Festival

• Location: Town Square
• Description: The protagonist is rewarded a Power Berry the first year.
• Donation: 1 pumpkin

Winter

7th Winter, Chicken Festival

12th Winter, Thanksgiving Festival

• Time: 6:00am-6:00pm
• Location: No Location
• Description: Villagers who have three or more friendship hearts with the protagonist they will give them cake. The protagonist can also gift others cake.

19th Winter, Campfire Festival

• Location: Moonlight Beach
• Description: The protagonist and his highest love interest protect a fire together on the beach.
• Donation: 1 piece of wood

24th Winter, Starlight Night Festival

• Time:
• Location:
• Description: The candidate the protagonist has the highest relationship with will invite them to watch the stars together later that evening. Once accepted, the protagonist meets said candidate in the square at the appropriate time where they leave to look at the stars above summit.
