Description
Brodik is a special agent from the Zzyzx Empire sent in search of an AWOL soldier. He mistakes Raguna as this soldier, and severely harasses and taunts him. Brodik will leave after a certain event when you get Kross's FP up to 4, and will come back to challenge you once a year in the Green Ruins BF1. He teaches Raguna the basics of combat. When to challenge a monster and when to run, what strategies to use, etc.
Brodik comes off as abrasive and cruel, and takes any chance he can to taunt you, and frequently trashes your field. Despite his bad attitude, he seems to be rather homesick and shows disdain towards you (whom he believes to be the soldier he's looking for) for making him leave the Zzyzx Empire. His current mission isn't to his liking, and mentions he'd rather be in Kardia where a dragon was found, referring to the first game.
He'll just stay for around 2-3 weeks if you befriend Cross up to around 4 FP and got an event where he pushes rock. But in exchange, you'll get an interesting chain events between him, Cross and Ragna, which explains his real identity. And of course, this event can wait as long as you want.
Events
Ding Dong Ditch
Date: Night after meeting Brodik
When you try to go to bed, there will be a knock at the door. Go outside and Brodik will be running away. Talk to him the next day and he'll deny it.
Rocks
Prerequisite: After meeting Brodik
Listen in for a couple of mornings while Anette is delivering Brodik's mail, and he'll get letters from Candy and Marco thanking him for cleaning the rocks out of their gardens. A few days later, Rosetta will complain that your shipping bin was full of rocks. Talk to Brodik and he'll say he noticed the rocks and call you a horrible person for putting them there.
Weeds
Prerequisite: After rocks
Brodik will get mail from Candy and Marco again, thanking him for cleaning the weeds out of their gardens. A few days later, go outside for the morning, and you'll find your field looking like a storm hit it. Talk to Brodik and he'll call you a lousy farmer and tell you to get out.
Rock Pushing
Prerequisite: After rocks and have Kross at 4 FP
Exit your house and you'll see Kross pushing a rock away from your door, after he pushed it there in the first place to protect you from Brodik, and he'll apologize to you. Talk to Brodik afterwards and he'll call you weird for putting a rock in front of your door.
Brodik, Kross and Raguna
Brodik will appear in autumn of year one. He will put you through a number of tortures, which often involve your field being torn to shreds. When he has placed the rock in front of your house, Kross will move it out of the way if he is at 4 FP. When the Golem finally ruins your land, talk to Brodik. He will be gone for about a month and when he returns, you'll have to fight him and a large Golem to settle the score. Completing this chain of events will shed some light on Kross's mysterious past.
