Animals (Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town)
Livestock
Livestock are animals you keep on your farm that produce a byproduct you can sell or cook with. In Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, there are five varieties of animals that can be raised on your ranch. There are four different types of cows, each with their own byproduct. Additionally, there are two types of chickens, but their byproducts are the same.
The table below displays the animals, and their byproducts, which you can raise on your farm. The frequency of byproducts which can be collected assumes you are feeding your animals daily. Angora Rabbits, Sheep, and Alpacas will increase the number of days before their byproducts can be collected again if they are not fed.

Caring for your Animals
In this version of Story of Seasons, animals do not die. However, to get their byproducts, it is important to feed them. In addition, brushing, grazing, and talking to your animals affects your animals affection level with you. It is recommended to hand feed your animals, as you get additional friendship points for doing so. When feeding, ensure that you do not place more food in the troughs than the animals need, as any uneaten food will disappear the following day.
-
Talk to your animal.
-
Handfeed your animal.
-
Brush your animal everyday.
-
Let your animal graze.
Breeding Livestock
Unlike other Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games, the maximum heart level that can obtain with purchased livestock is 5 hearts . Players can only reach 10♡ through patience and breeding, meaning they cannot receive higher rated products without putting in some effort.
Baby animals born on the farm will automatically have an affection level of 3♥. Additionally, their max affection level will be 1♥ more than their parents.
Once a player has unlocked a new heart level threshold, the offspring of any new, bought animals, of the same type, will have that threshold. For example, if the player breeds an 8♥ chicken, they will be able to purchase a chicken with a 5♥ limit from PoPoultry. The offspring of that chicken will then have an 8♥ limit.

Pets
Pets are animals you keep on your farm to perform either a task or participate in events. Van will come by on the 15th of every season to sell you a selection of these pets. A different selection is available every season, so be sure to check every time! Below is the list of pets available within the game.
On Summer 1st, the Beach Opening is held at Mineral Beach. If you have an adult pet and a Frisbee, you can enter them in the competition. It helps to play with them using the Ball or Frisbee prior to the event, otherwise they won't be able to catch it. Penguin and capybaras can also be entered, but not your Horse.
